Kanye West has done it again ladies and gents. You should have known if Yeezus was going to drop another album again he would go BIG!! We all started to wonder as Ye came to Atlanta and decided he would have the biggest listening party of all times it would stop there. But it was only the beginning of what would be 3 times at 2 of the biggest arenas in the cities of Atlanta GA and Chicago IL. Mr. West’s new album is titled “Donda” after his late mother Donda West. The album was set for July 24, 2021, but was delayed multiple times. It was revealed by sources that  Universal Music Group decided to release the album without Kanye’s approval. Also not adding “Jail Part 2 feat Da Baby & Marlyn Manson. ‘Jail Part 1” features Jay Z. Maybe Jay Z didn’t want any parts of that collab due to all the news surrounding both Da Baby and Manson. 

 

The 10th studio album is considered a Hip Hop, Gospel, and pop album. The 27 song project was nothing short of just Kanye going hard and creating great formatted songs in which the listeners would have to think of him as a creative artist. Which we all know he is in a league by himself. The first collab was with Jay Z. After feuding for some time Mr. Carter decided to let bygones be bygones and play the big brother role. Jay Z walked all over this track even taking the time to tell Ms. West “ Tell him to stop that red cap we going home”. This was a long-awaited track to happen. Jay Z also hinted that this might be a return of the throne.

Kayne aligned his self with some great artists and it feels like it was about timing and where the world was at while he was recording. He built a studio in the Mercedez Benz Stadium to finish his process. He enlisted artists like Travis Scott, Vory, Playboi Carti, Fivio Foreign, Shenseea, Jay Electronica, The Lox, Conway The Machine, Pop Smoke, West Side Gunn, Roddy Rich just to name a few. Also removing some unfinalized artists such as Chris Brown & Soulja Boy. Kanye didn’t aim to lose on this album. He also made the entire album a clean version that will allow kids and adults of all ages to listen with no censorship. The album was very different from all his past work. We ask you guys to not be biased but listen with an open mind. His bars have a whole lot of meanings as well. Just F.Y.I.

 

Overall there are so many moving pieces to Kanye West art, music, and brand. It will always be hard to understand why he does things the way he does them. He will definitely go above and beyond with all he aims to be. Maybe this is the lead-up to his next vision as President.
